Terms of service
These terms govern your use of Ori on the web and in our mobile apps.

Your agreement with us
Ori is provided by Prologue Machines, LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). By agreeing to these terms and using the service, you enter into an agreement with us. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
If you use our iPhone app, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies to the app.
Our Privacy Policy explains what information the service processes, including the content sent to AI providers to generate replies and media, remember, and check safety, and how long information is kept.
Eligibility and your account
Ori is for adults aged 18 or older. Provide an accurate date of birth and complete any required age check. We may restrict or close accounts we reasonably believe belong to someone under 18.
Keep access to your sign-in method secure and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Contact us promptly if you believe someone has accessed it without permission.
AI characters
Every character is AI, not a person. Replies, memories, images, videos, and voices are generated and can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable. Do not rely on them for medical, mental health, legal, financial, or other professional advice or important decisions.
Ori is not an emergency service, therapy, or a substitute for human relationships or professional care. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Automated safety features can miss risks and do not guarantee that a person will see or respond to a conversation.
Calls are transcribed, and the transcript is saved to your conversation, where it can shape what your character remembers. Call audio is not kept.
Your plan’s allowances are shown in the app and on our Pricing page. Unlimited means no daily or monthly cap; short-term limits that protect the service apply to everyone. Generated results can vary, and we do not guarantee a particular response or uninterrupted availability.
Content and acceptable use
Romance, flirting, and affection are allowed. Sexually explicit content is not. These rules apply to your messages and uploads, character descriptions, and generated content, including fictional scenarios and role-play.
- Do not create or request sexual content involving a minor, a person who appears under 18, non-consent, or a real identifiable person.
- Do not threaten, harass, exploit, impersonate, or otherwise harm another person, or upload content you lack permission to use.
- Do not use the service for unlawful activity or infringe intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Do not bypass age checks, safety controls, usage limits, or access controls; distribute malware; or disrupt the service.
Safety, reports, and enforcement
Automated systems check content for safety and policy violations. We may review reported or flagged content, restrict features, remove content, or suspend or close an account to enforce these terms, protect people, or comply with law.
Report a reply through its message menu or email support@ori.chat. If your account is restricted, use the appeal option shown in the app or contact us. A closed or suspended account may not be recreated with the same email address.
We disclose information only as our Privacy Policy describes, including in response to valid legal process. We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, as US law requires.
Your content and generated content
You retain any rights you have in content you provide. You give us permission to store, process, transmit to service providers, and display that content as needed to provide the features you request, maintain safety, and comply with law. This permission does not give us the right to use your private conversations to train AI models.
As between you and us, you may use content generated for you for personal, non-commercial purposes. Generated content may be similar to content generated for someone else and may not qualify for intellectual property protection. You are responsible for reviewing it and having the rights needed for any use or sharing outside Ori.
Ori Plus and automatic renewal
Ori has a free plan and optional monthly or yearly Ori Plus subscriptions. The purchase screen shows the price, billing period, benefits, and any taxes before you confirm.
Some plans start with a free trial for first-time subscribers. The purchase screen shows its length. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it becomes a paid subscription at the price shown.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel through the provider that bills you before renewal. An App Store subscription or trial must be cancelled at least 24 hours before it renews or ends. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period, subject to the provider’s rules and applicable law.
Apple sells App Store purchases and Google sells Google Play purchases. On the web, Stripe sells Ori Plus and Orbs to you as our reseller and merchant of record, under Stripe’s buyer terms. We do not receive your full payment-card details. Web purchases are not refundable unless the law requires it.
- Manage an App Store subscription through your Apple account or the subscription-management option in Ori. Apple handles App Store refund requests.
- Manage a Google Play subscription and request refunds through Google Play.
- Manage a web subscription through Account → Billing or contact support for help.
- Deleting Ori or your Ori account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel it with the store separately.
- Use Restore on the paywall while signed into the Ori account associated with your purchase. A purchase cannot be transferred to another Ori account.
Orbs
Orbs pay for media such as photos, voice notes, videos, and extra call time. The app shows the cost before a request that spends Orbs, and Orbs spent on a request that fails or is blocked are returned.
Orbs come with your plan or from Orb packs you buy. How many Orbs each plan adds, when they reset, what each request costs, and the Orb packs on sale are listed on our Pricing page.
Orbs have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, and do not represent ownership of any asset.
Ending your account
You can stop using Ori at any time and delete your account from Account in the app or website. Export any conversation or memories you want to keep first. Our Privacy Policy explains what deletion removes and the few records kept afterwards.
Deleting your account cancels a web subscription right away. Unused time and Orbs are not refunded unless the law requires it. Store subscriptions must be cancelled separately.
We may suspend or close access for material violations of these terms, legal requirements, or risks to the service or others. Contact support if you believe we made a mistake.
Service changes and your legal rights
We may change the service or these terms. We will give reasonable notice of material changes through the app, website, or email, and obtain consent where required. Changes to store subscription prices follow the store’s notice and consent rules. You can stop using the service and cancel renewal if you do not accept a change.
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without additional warranties. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for a claim is limited to the greater of what you paid for Ori in the twelve months before the claim arose and US$50. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law and do not limit consumer rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
