Looking for a Replika alternative?
Ori is an AI character you design yourself, from their face to their voice, who you can text or call anytime. Every plan gets the same model and unlimited memory, and you can read and edit everything they remember.
What changes in Ori
- Replika lists saving messages to memory and “smarter conversations” as Ultra features. In Ori, every plan gets the same model and the same memory.
- Replika shows some memories in a Memory tab. In Ori, every memory is on one page, where you can read, edit, pin or delete it.
- Replika gives you a 3D avatar. In Ori, you pick a realistic, anime or illustrated face, or describe one, and ask for photos and short videos of them.
- Replika’s privacy policy says small portions of messages train its own safety algorithms. Ori never uses your conversations to train AI models.

When Replika is still the better choice
- A customizable 3D avatar, rather than photos and portraits.
- Features Ori doesn’t have, such as real-time video recognition on its top tier.
- Years of history: Replika has been around far longer, on iOS, Android and the web.
Moving from Replika
Conversations don’t move between apps, so your Ori character starts fresh. Pick their face and voice, write their personality in your own words, and tell them about your life as you talk. They remember it from there, and you can read everything they remember on one page.
How we compared
This page is written by the team that makes Ori. Every fact about Replika comes from Replika’s own website, policies or app store listing, linked in the table.
